I fucking dig the motion picture. It’s like the 2001 of the Trek films. And the whole V’ger concept always blew my mind… But yeah it’s not dated well… My dad uncovered a folder in the attic with all these magazine cuttings he did in the 70s when it came out; it’s easy to forget just how big a deal the return of Star Trek was!
I guess in that context, I can understand. After so much waiting, you really would want to relish every moment.
